Barrier-Free Building For Improved Quality Of Life

Barrier-free building for improved quality of life

Enjoy added comfort and safety in your living environment. A barrier-free design makes your home even more beautiful.

HARO Takteo

To enable visually impaired people to move around their sheltered accommodation safely and comfortably without help, we provide tactile signal elements in our parquet. The different geometries allow the reliable detection of intersections, turn-offs, line markings and danger spots (e.g. stairs) with a white stick.

Visible and audible indication thanks to high-contrast and/or tangible design of steps, stairs and passageways

When ground surface indicators need to be installed, for example in barrier-free hotels or retirement homes, there used to be no appealing solutions to create a cosy homelike feel. With HARO Takteo, which is an innovative and patented ground surface indicator system based on timber flooring, a barrier-free living environment is now possible at affordable cost and with a stylish design. Visually impaired persons can detect the different geometries with a white stick and, at the same time, they can also hear the difference thanks to sound sheets that are factory-fitted to the board underside. This system fully meets the objective of the “principle of two senses”, which significantly increases the safety of tactile guide systems according to a person’s sensory perception. Read more
