Specifics

What is a laminate floor?

Germany’s leading wood flooring specialist offers you perfect wood styles that are almost indistinguishable from the originals. Combined with the selection of authentic surface textures and impressive formats like the trendy Gran Via long plank, these floors will create a ‘wow’ factor in any home.

90% of all laminate floors are sold with a wood design. Even though this hard-surface floor covering consists of over 90 percent wood, it is resistant to cigarette burns and stiletto heels. Impact and scratch-resistant, easy to maintain, heat and light resistant, and cost-effective – a laminate floor is always a good choice.

A real success story

Northern Europeans are regarded as the inventors of the laminate floor. The first floorboards with light-coloured wood reproductions conquered the market in the mid-80s. They started a one-of-a-kind success story: In the last five years alone, laminate floor sales almost doubled worldwide. The majority of the products still come from German and Austrian manufacturers by the way. But not all products on the market are of this high quality. Cheap laminate flooring with poor quality is also available on the market. Therefore, it is important to check that the product you want to buy bears a reliable product safety label, such as an EU certification mark or the Blue Angel eco label.

For tough cases too

Could you tell a laminate floor apart from a real wood floor at a glance? It certainly is not easy if the laminate floor is made by a timber specialist. One thing that gives away a laminate floor is its thin profile. The advantages of HARO premium laminate flooring are clear: the easy glueless installation of the click laminate, its durability and resistance, and an extended warranty of up to 25 years. Allergy sufferers can breathe a sigh of relief because house dust mites and the like do not stand a chance here. HARO Laminate Floors only contain safe materials that are harmless to health and thus create a healthy indoor climate. For this, they have even been awarded with the ‘Blue Angel’, a German quality eco-label.

The mixture makes the difference

As mentioned before, a laminate floor is mostly made of wood – but not of wood alone. The extra tough overlay, which contains melamine, and the decorative laminate are pressed together to form an extremely hard-wearing surface. The special moisture control HDF coreboard is resistant to moisture. This coreboard and the balancing laminate at the bottom ensure reliable dimensional stability. They protect the floorboards against warping and ensure that they stay beautiful for a long time.
